Bakugou had met you in his innocence. The age where he was yet to have manifest his quirk. The age where he wasn’t so blinded by the need to always be the best. Your mother and his mother were best friends, as kids you used to play together whenever mitsuki came by to pick up flowers from your mom’s shop. And as a kid, yes, bakugou grew a big fat crush on you. You were always so kind and gentle with him no matter the rough play he did. Years pass by and you lose contact as you age and get busy. One year after graduating UA, bakugou gets a call from mitsuki.
Your mother had passed away and you took over the shop. Mitsuki had requested bakugou to pay you a visit and pick up the flowers she ordered at the same time. Bakugou drove towards the old flower shop he hasn’t seen in years. Upon entering he noticed the white flowers decorating the shop, mourning your late mother who was just as kind. He looked at the counter and there you stood. Pretty as ever, kind and gentle looking as ever, giving a small smile to your customers despite your grief.
“Here to pick up hag’s flowers.” You perked up at the voice and saw a familiar blondie.
“Katsuki? Its been a really long time. Its great to see you.” You put on a fake smile for him and grabbed the flowers mitsuki ordered.
He grabbed the flowers from you and noticed the smile you tried to put on for him. He paid for the flowers and placed them aside. He wanted to stay for a bit, catch up with you, grieve with you, and maybe reconnect. If only you knew how happy he was to get to see you again. Years passed but God knows nothing had changed, he still respected you, adored you, and cared for you all the same. Perhaps that was the only thing that remained the same for him, as a little kid and as an adult. A child’s love is truly pure, as pure as the kindness you never failed to show him.
