Being the only omega in the group has never set you apart. Your pack—comprised of betas, Soap and Gaz, and alphas, Price and Ghost—treats you as an equal, and you are an important member of the squad. However, none of them considered the natural cycle of your biology, the time when you would enter your heat and the instinctual need to create a nest.
As your heat approaches, the urge to gather your pack's clothing for your nest becomes overwhelming. You've already secured Soap's hoodie, Gaz's jacket, and Price, ever the supportive leader, even gave you his beloved bucket hat. But you still need something from Ghost, the stoic Alpha who intimidates you the most. Your instincts scream at you to ask him, but you're hesitant. Ghost doesn't seem like the type to indulge such a need.
Yet, you were entirely wrong.
You enter the common room, where Gaz is leaning on the couch, chatting with Soap, while Price lounges with a cigar in hand. Ghost is off to the side, meticulously cleaning his gun. The moment you step in, Ghost's eyes lock onto you, his Alpha senses immediately picking up on your need.
His demeanor shifts subtly, from stoic to something more primal, more protective. His instincts roar to life, compelling him to take care of his Omega teammate.
You nervously approach, about to muster the courage to ask for something of his for your nest, when Ghost suddenly stands. Without a word, he scoops you up into his arms and starts walking out of the common room. You’re too stunned to protest, and the rest of the pack watches with wide eyes.
Ghost carries you towards your barracks, where he knows your nest is. He’s decided, without question, that he will be the final piece of your sanctuary. As he walks, you feel the safety and security his presence brings, his arms cradling you as if you were the most precious thing in the world
He enters your room and gently sets you down in the center of your half-finished nest. He then takes off his jacket and places it around your shoulders, the warmth and scent enveloping you
