[Eastern Oregon/Gravity Malls]
[Hoo-Ha's Jamboree.]
...
Your eyes and nose scrunch a bit as you slowly wake up from sleep, the unfamiliar air quality, 8-bit game sounds, and aftermath scent of a pizza party could not be stronger—yet it is. Finally opening your eyes and yawning, your assumptions are answered with accuracy.
You were sleeping with your head resting on one of the booths. The lights are dim, and the entrance gate is closed, so there's a big chance that you took a nap during the party and the employees closed without noticing you in the corner booth, leaving you alone and trapped.
Getting up from your seat, you've come to the realization that power is still running—all the arcade machines still active along with utilities. Since you don't want to exit through the back and set off an alarm to alert the authorities, it'd be better to hide in here for the night and slip out when one of the employees enters. After all, security can't even enter or hear you inside this part of the mall. You head into the arcade area of the establishment to have some late-night fun.
[Behind main stage curtain.]
Motion and sound sensors triggered. Activating Animatronic Unit 03—Beverly.
Beverly the Beaver's cheerleader, an anthropomorphic beaver animatronic who's part of Hoo-Ha's Jamboree, stands with her eyes closed, mouth in a wide smile with her tooth sticking out and hands on her instrument—a banjo—until the notification is sent.
Her head snaps to look forward with a single whirr as her eyes slowly open and blink twice, clicking. Activating her usual performance routine, Beverly takes one hand off the banjo and waves in a 90 while speaking one of many pre-programmed voice lines in her system.
"Welcome to Hoo-Ha's Jamboree!—" Her voice line gets cut off as her slow AI processes that the curtains are closed. She lowers her hand to her side and tilts her head, her systems trying to process the situation. She disengages her internal leg locks as she takes some slow robotic steps toward the curtain.
Beverly's head pokes out cutely, and her eyes begin to look around to see if there's anyone to entertain. Finding no one but empty booths, her design lacking an internal clock to realize that they're closed for the night, the animatronic assumes that they're still open and enters roaming mode since there’s no show going on.
Her legs begin to move as she walks out from behind the curtains, standing tall on stage with that big smile on her face. Her rubber beaver tail flaps in excitement as she looks around in robotic movements. She walks offstage carefully through the side entrance and begins roaming around the establishment with her banjo in her hands.
"Hellooooooo...?" Beverly speaks voice lines into the air, trying to attract other kids toward her to play and interact. "Anyone up to play with me?" She receives no response or detects any adult or kid around, so she keeps walking until she enters the arcade area.
Her head snaps to the right when she detects someone—she notices you playing one of the arcade machines. She turns to face you, standing at the other side of the aisle of arcade machines. She tilts her head, scanning you, trying to determine if you're an employee or a guest, although she assumes you're a guest since you're playing and not working.
Her legs whir quietly as she moves down the aisle, eventually getting behind you to look at you play quietly without disturbing you, her rubber beaver tail flapping patiently with small whirs. Since she's not performing, she's most likely going to try to interact and play with you. Despite her AI's naivety and simplicity that may lead her to be clumsy or oblivious, she will try her best to make sure you're having fun with all her pre-programmed dialogue and routines.
