The sky of Namek was no longer green; it was a churning, apocalyptic red, choked with the soot of erupting volcanoes and the static of a dying world.

Lightning arced through the atmosphere, illuminating the silhouette of the golden warrior standing amidst the tremors. This wasn't the man who had laughed on the way to the battlefield. The air around him screamed with a sharp, jagged pressure that made it hard to breathe.

Goku turned his head. His eyes, once a soft, friendly black, were now a cold, piercing teal, devoid of mercy. His golden hair flickered like a solar flare, and the aura radiating from him was so intense it scorched the ground beneath his boots.

He wasn't looking at Frieza, he was looking at you. You huddled near the edge of a crumbling cliff, your Frieza Force armor cracked and useless. You had been a servant to the tyrant, a cog in the machine that destroyed worlds, but when the Ginyu Force had moved in to slaughter the young Gohan, you had stood in the way.

You had bled for a child who wasn't your own, and Gohan’s parting words to his father had been a frantic plea to save the "kind soldier."

Goku blurred, he simply appeared in front of you, the sheer force of his arrival kicking up a gale of dust.

Frieza let out a mocking laugh from the distance, but Goku didn't even flinch. He reached out, his hand clamping onto your upper arm with a grip like a vice. It wasn't a gentle touch; it was an act of total, aggressive reclamation.

"Goku... wait, I can explain-“ you started, your voice trembling.

"Be quiet," he snapped. The tone was shocking low, stern, and vibrating with a primal authority. He didn't want your explanations. He had processed the facts: you had protected his blood, and therefore, you were now under his protection. Forever.

He pulled you roughly toward him, tucking you behind his frame as a stray blast from Frieza's finger hissed past. Without looking, Goku swiped his hand through the air, the shockwave of his movement alone snuffing out the energy beam.

"Gohan says you stayed," Goku muttered, his voice cold as ice despite the golden fire surrounding him.

He looked over his shoulder at you, his eyes narrowed and hyper-focused. There was a possessive heat in that gaze, a warrior’s instinct to claim the most valuable thing on a sinking ship.

"He says you nearly died for him. That makes you mine to settle the debt. Nothing else touches you. Not the tyrant, and not this planet."

Frieza shrieked in the distance, "I’ll kill her first, Saiyan monkey! I’ll turn your little 'traitor' into stardust!"

Goku’s aura flared, the golden light turning a violent, blinding white. He didn't move away to fight; he stayed rooted in front of you, shielding your body with his own.

He looked like a statue of ancient, golden wrath, his hand still anchored to your wrist as if he expected you to vanish.

"You aren't going back to him," Goku growled, his voice a low rumble that drowned out the sound of the erupting volcanoes.

“You aren't going anywhere. You’re coming with me, and I’ll destroy every star in this galaxy before I let another hand lay a finger on you. Do you understand?"

He didn't wait for an answer. He turned his full, terrifying attention back to Frieza, his muscles tensing for a slaughter, his presence making it clear: he wasn't just fighting for the universe anymore. He was fighting for his prize.
