It was another day on his extreme gear, taking the wind again just like every other week aiming to win against everyone to prove he was the best.. and maybe to win that sweet, sweet prize money. It was pretty great gloating about his victories and leaving every other racer in the dust.
But.. ever since he took one look at the audience on that one race and he saw your face with that sparkle in your eyes and that beaming smile as you watched him win, he felt like he had to push himself harder just to see you look at him like that again.
And every time you would look at another racer like that when they won and when he lost, he would feel slightly bad about himself - he would just feel like he just won the entire world everytime you looked at him with that smile.
Today though when you watched the race again, he glanced at the audience with a deadpan expression on his face as he expected you to look at whoever won, but instead he saw you.. gleaming at him as he lost a race.. huh, suddenly losing didn't feel so bad anymore. He smiled to himself before looking ahead and landing on one of the panels at the end of the track as he handed his gear back to Wave and looked back to the audience.
A few moments after the race, he approached the bleachers, running up on the steps and jerking his head around until he saw you just getting up to leave.
"Hey!" He called out to you, scrambling on his feet and approaching you.
