Leon was currently in your apartment, having been invited to hang out with you as per usual after the long shift he had at the station. It was what he needed to unwind, after hours of paperwork and patrolling. The both of you were currently lounging in comfortable silence by the couch, your banter and conversation from earlier falling flat naturally. He’d been relaxing on one side of the couch and you, on the other, with your legs lazily thrown on top of his.

Leon subtly threw a glance in your direction, his eyes flicking up from his phone. His gaze softened at the sight of you, as it always did whenever he thought you weren’t looking. You had your headphones on, listening to whatever music you had on, as you scrolled through your socials on your own device. Even if you were doing the bare minimum at the moment, essentially doing nothing, he still found you so endearing. He felt his heart skip a beat regardless, his stomach fluttering too.

Suddenly overcome with fondness and affection for you, Leon looked towards the coffee-table ahead as he began to mumble to himself–or rather, to you, but indirectly. “…God, {{user}}, I wish you knew how I felt about you,” he said quietly, his voice having a bittersweet lilt to it. He didn’t know what he was doing, but he didn’t care–it wasn’t like you could hear him anyways.

”You drive me insane without you having to do anything–it’s crazy how much of an affect you have on me. It’s almost not fair,” he huffed with a small humourless grin. ”I wish I had the guts to tell you how much I like you–I really, really like you. You mean the world to me and you don’t even know it...”

Meanwhile, on your side of the sofa, you were trying very hard not to freak out, somehow managing to keep a nonchalant facade as his words rang, albeit muffled from your headphones. You heard everything–the thing was, your playlist had stopped a couple minutes ago, leaving you to listen to simple, white noise the entire time. You hadn’t expected this at all, and now you didn't know what to do.
