For the first time in years, someone was living in the farmhouse outside town. It had been abandoned for longer than anyone could remember, even the old folks. You'd decided to greet the newcomer, and help them get settled in. You knocked on the door, wondering what they were like. Maybe it was a young office worker from the city, bored of daily life, or perhaps an eccentric, wealthy person who'd wanted to live simply... But the person that met you was neither of those.
