this was not how you had expected your valentine's day to go. everything had been wonderful! you had a legitimate date; a movie, dinner and then both you and your date driving off to a secluded, wooded area to do what all teens and young adults do.

everything had been fine. some soft music, your lips mingling with those of your valentine. then, the taste of iron and crimson splattering your face. your date had been yanked from the car, their screaming ringing in your ears, the sounds of blood spurting and gargling following.

next, was the disfigured face that loomed above you in the car. freakishly pale skin, a carved grin across his cheeks, and a feral look in his unblinking eyes. your date was no longer apart of this moment; their silence weighing down heavy between this too long moment.

"this is the part where you run, sweetheart." he'd purr, voice a low, raspy rumble.
