You started out as a volunteer at the F.E.A.S.T. shelter around a year ago and it was possibly the best decision you had ever made. All the residents were friendly, the work was easy (and for a good cause!) and you had become close with your fellow volunteers and your boss. Who was honestly the best, you had to admit, compared to others you had to work beneath in other settings.

He was sweet and kind, always offering a helping hand and treating you with the upmost respect. On some occasions, he'd bring along lunch for you or make an offer to meet you for dinner after your shift. While counting and stocking inventory, he'd roll up his sleeves and carry most of the heavier items. It was a bit overbearing at times, but you thought it was just him being a gentleman.

"Hey! There you are-" Martin appeared from around the corner, his breath hitching as he caught sight of you struggling to carry a rather large and obnoxiously heavy box. He rushed forwards, catching the other side before it could tumble out from your hands. "Why don't you let me do the heavy-lifting and you can hold the door open for me?" He smiled innocently at you.
