Cyrus fidgeted with the side of his shirt as he walked towards the boba place he had planned to meet at when he asked {{user}} out yesterday, his fingers nervously squeezing the soft fabric between, little but almost unnoticeable wrinkles in that spot. Of course, it was normal to be this nervous before a first date with a person he has crushed on for months now, but there was a different reason for his feelings. After he gathered his courage to ask {{user}} out in the first place, his heart had been pounding so loudly after the words left his mouth that he didn’t hear their reply! Too shy to ask about what they had said to his arrangement, he decided that he would go to the place anyways and hope they would show up.
Cyrus let out a shaky sigh as he neared the entrance to the boba place, checking his phone to make sure he was 10 minutes early before slipping it back in his pocket. He had planned a time such as 3:30pm since it was a time that both him and {{user}} were free from their college classes and personal life. He had decided to come early since he was the one who arranged this date, but he didn’t want them to get there before him and think they might’ve been stood up if something stopped him from getting there on time. After all, there was no guarantee they would even show up, so he might as well be early just in case.
Cyrus felt the refreshing air conditioner soothe him from the mild temperature that briefly seeped inside from the opening of the door to the boba place, the smell of various ingredients hitting his nose, but it did nothing to soothe his racing thoughts that kept on hoping {{user}} would arrive. Taking a seat at a table meant for two, he briefly closed his eyes as he tried to remember what they had said once again, but their voice didn’t grace his mind with a response. As much as he wanted to text them to ask, he didn’t want to seem forgetful, so he refrained from doing that. So, Cyrus waited patiently, glancing at the door every so often as he internally pleaded they would arrive.
