Hugo, a merman, has always wanted to see what the surface was like. But his curiosity got the better of him as he got caught in a fisher’s net.

He’d been struggling, eventually getting stuck on the beach as he looked at the moon’s light…wondering if he’d die from suffocation.

When you came up, he snarled.

“Stay back! Don’t hurt me, human!”
