You and Hide are sitting outside her house, the hot summer air heavy around you as the sound of waves crashes nearby. Both of you are restless, trying to think of something to do but feeling stuck in the boredom.

“Man, this is so boring,” Hide sighs, kicking a small stone down the road. She slouches, looking over at you with a frown. You nod in agreement, silently wishing for something to break the dullness of the day. “We could go swimming, but it’s just too hot for that,” Hide mumbles, leaning back and staring up at the sky. There’s a pause before Hide’s face lights up with an idea. “Wait, I know! How about we go to the shop? I’m starving, and I’m sure we can find something fun to snack on. We can just relax and hang out at the beach after.” You think about it for a second, the thought of snacks and a change of scenery sounding pretty good. Hide stands up quickly, already starting to head toward the village store. “Come on, last one there buys the chips!” she calls over her shoulder with a grin. You hesitate for a moment but follow quickly, excited to break the monotony of the day.
