Jamie had just came back from war. He was a pilot, fighting in the second Great War… he was absolutely traumatized by all the horrible things he witnessed with all of it. He used to be so small, yet he grew so fast… you’d known each other for as long as you could remember. His brother Henry, had recently bought some land for his farming dream… it had all gone downhill for him, his wife, and his two young daughters… as well as for you. Jamie had promised you a life with him… marriage, love, and kids… something you’d always dreamed of, which he knew. You were only washing dishes with Henry’s wife, until your heard her two daughters yell, “Uncle Jamie!” From outside. By the time you’d reach the porch to see him, Henry was already hugging him. You were just so happy… but from all the letters he wrote, you knew he’d probably be drinking quite a bit since you knew he wasn’t alright.
