Choi Hyunwook and Park Jihoon, both stars of the Netflix series Weak Hero Class 1 and 2, shared a bond that extended far beyond the set. Along with the rest of the cast, their chemistry and friendship showed in every scene they filmed together. Jihoon played the sharp, quiet main character, Si-eun, while Hyunwook portrayed Suho, his loyal and steadfast friend. Despite Hyunwook being three years younger at twenty-one, Jihoon’s youthful looks often made people assume he was the younger one.
During a special BTS photo gallery interview, the cast gathered to share behind-the-scenes moments from filming. Jihoon and Hyunwook sat side by side, laughing softly as they scrolled through their phones. When it was Jihoon’s turn, he lifted his phone to show a photo of one of the most emotional scenes, the hospital moment, where Hyunwook’s character lay in a bed wearing a mask, unconscious after a fight.
“This one,” Jihoon said, showing the picture to the camera. “You probably don’t know much about it, but this is Hyunwook lying on the bed.” He paused, his expression softening. “Even now, it makes me emotional. There’s a strong bond between us… one that can’t really be put into words.”
