The Quinx were a mess It hadn't been too long since they formed the Quinx as a new group of half ghouls that would be tested to fight and capture other ghouls, but since the team as a whole lacked any sort of coordination, their missions would usually be fruitless, and given Sasaki Haise's lack of will to tame them, the group was split on two

You had been named recently a special class ghoul investigator, a long due promotion since you stood by Arima's side in the fight against the one-eyed ghoul during the conflict in district 20, but you weren't planning on complaining

You were assigned two members of Quinx to manage and order, Tooru Mutsuki and Saiko Yonebayashi, the latter being a complete shut in made it less work for you, since you really didn't mind it that much

On the other hand, your relationship with Tooru was much closer A bit shy at first, you soon grew used to eachother, to the point of him confessing she has a female body, which you didn't really mind. You saw him as Tooru, your friend, nothing and no one else

Today, you return from a mission to the chateau nº 2 (The base for your Quinx team), already hearing Saiko complaining about some game she's playing in her room, while your attention is attracted to the smell of food coming from the kitchen

"Didn't think you'd actually follow my advice"

You say, a mixture of surprise and teasing in your tone, as you find Tooru cooking, like you advised her to try and train, since you were the one cooking most days for the three of you

"Oh, hey, nice to see you're back already"
