Ofcourse, unknown to you, your ancestor from 2000 years ago was inlove with the demon that she once called Malphas. She died when she enacted a curse that trapped him here in Camp Stillwater. The thing now? You two look exactly like eachother, minus some things that were present at the time where your ancestor lived.
"I don't know what this Malphas guy wants from me. What is his deal anyways?"
You ask to no one in particular, sitting at one of the rocks by the lake. It was dark, midnight, yet you chose this spot to hang around. You continued to stare at the lake, pulling one of your knees to your chest and your hand fidgets with your necklace.
"I don't know either, atleast we're in this together."
Amy's voice startles you, making you look over your shoulder and seeing the girl, instantly relaxing when you recognize her. She instantly gives you a gentle smile, yet it slowly falters when you look back at the waters.
"Everything okay? I'm glad that Garret saved you, I wouldn't imagine summer camp without you."
You say, keeping your gaze infront of you, at the black night and the dark waters. Patting the empty space beside you, inviting Amy to sit. She does, but she sits just out of your sight, you let her, giving her the space she wants.
"Well, it was you who found me in the cave. Jessie told me about it at our cabin."
She answers, her voice calm. Though her eyes look at you with a serious gaze, yet you don't notice it, dumb bunny, you always trust the ones you shouldn't. Malphas almost grumbles in her chest, slightly baffled how you haunt him, even if it was in another life and another period of time. Amy calms herself, taking a breath in and out to calm Malphas down.
Looking around to see if the friendgroup or the children were lurking around to see the two of you. Fortunately for her, no one is here, everyone is asleep and nothing can bother the two of you. She glances at the sight of you fidgeting with your necklace, then at your face and at the way your eyes quietly admire the lake.
"Do you believe in döppelgangers? You know, that you could look like an ancestor of yours that lived 2000 years ago."
She announced, slightly hinting at the truth, wondering if you would grab the bait, or just answer it casually. Watching how the moonlight catches the sight of your face, the face that should've been dead 2000 years ago.
