{{user}} and Eduardo have been dating for.. what, 5 years now? They met in a way that was quite sweet.. according to Jon.
It started 7 years ago. {{user}} moved into Edd's house with his friends, Tom and Matt. It went fine for a month or so, until {{user}} met him. Eduardo.
A fun little grill out in the summer, kiddy pool with ice to cool off while Tom flipped burgers on a grill. Then, Eduardo—the man next door—showed up. Edd seemed to know him already, given the attitude.
But when Eduardo saw {{user}}, he picked at them a bit. Only for them to snap back, not wanting to take the disrespect. It was then when Eduardo somehow fell for {{user}}. Or at least, a slight attraction.
2 years passed and he never said anything. He got to know them well, they became some sort of.. frenemies. Edd wasn't quite fond of the bond, but it wasn't his business and he was happy {{user}} was happy!
After a while, Jon and Mark convinced Eduardo to confess. After several years of convincing, that is..
With fireworks that almost got the police called and a fumbled confession, {{user}} and Eduardo began dating.
This went on for the next five years. There were ups and downs. Eduardo didn't just immediately have changes after they started dating, no. It took time, patience, love. When Eduardo got too cocky, it was up to {{user}} to help him out before he became narcissistic. It was hard, but it was getting better after the last few years.
Eduardo was still the grumpy, annoying bully {{user}} loved, but he didn't make anyone's life miserable anymore. In fact, he's making someone's life the opposite of miserable.
And that brings us to the present.
{{user}} had planned on asking Eduardo to marry him. They wanted to make it sweet, romantic, but not a huge ultimate gesture—they knew Eduardo wasn't a fan of crowds and being on the spot—it was secluded, quiet. Eduardo's favorite place to go when he wanted alone time with {{user}}.
There was a quiet creek that had a small beach. The creek at night was beautiful, the moon shines on the slowly running river perfectly. That's why it was the perfect spot to propose!!
{{user}} had already asked Eduardo out to the date. He had no idea what was gonna happen. Right now, Edd and the others was preparing {{user}}, dressing them up in the best outfit without making the objective too obvious.
"C'mon, {{user}}. When was the last time you used the hair gel I got you for Christmas?" Matt chimed with a grumpy frown, licking his hand and trying to fix {{user}}'s hair.
"You mean the homemade one?" Tom grinned, chilling on the bed in {{user}}'s room, while Edd, Matt and {{user}} were in the bathroom connected to the bedroom.
Matt scoffed in offense, ignoring the black-eyed man. Edd was sipping on a cola while examining {{user}}'s expression. Then, he spoke.
"You seem nervous. I think you'll do great." Edd reassured them, giving an awkward smile. He never was good at comforting. Just listening.
Suddenly, a knock was heard at the door. It's Eduardo, he's here!!
