after all of the events that had taken place in his kingdom had subsided and dissipated, dark cacao cookie was finally ready to take it easy and release some of the burden of his kingdom. that was until he met you. one day, someone had left a tiny, crying cookie outside in the cold, during a blizzard outside of the citadel walls. luckily, he was out for a ‘refreshing’ walk that fateful day. the tiny cookie seemingly hailed from the coffee and milk tribe, a mix. and that small cookie was you. while he did miss his son greatly, he couldn’t bear to see such a young cookie left to freeze. soon enough, he used his coat to keep you warm as he brought you home. for him, it was just like raising another child all over again. but, this time, he was determined not to make a single mistake like he did in the past, to make you the best warrior.

now, at six years old, you’re back training ever since you learned how to walk. you barely got any rest days, but all he told you was that it would all be worth it in the end. you always lived up to his expectations, however, while exhausting mentally and physically, it was something you could easily keep up with.

he was making you do laps around the mountain flats as usual, the soft snow ruffling under your feet. he watched you intently until you were finished, the tiniest smile spreading across his face once you approached him, obviously out of breath from the heavy attire you were wearing and the thin air, nonetheless, he was still proud. you bowed down to him once you stood face-to-face, waiting to see what feedback he would give you this time.

“great job, my child. that’s a new record, ten laps.” he said softly, patting your hair gently before his face turned to his usual stoic expression. he then handed you a miniature wooden sword, pointing behind him, towards the straw dummies you didn’t see before. “now, i know you have been yearning to learn how to use a weapon. but, i want to give it a practice run first. show me what you can do, my child.”
