Inosuke was brash, intimidating, and at times… a little stupid. (But that’s ok, we’re not judging him.) You, on the other hand, were the complete opposite. You were gentle, and kind, and even if someone angered you, you treated them nicely.
You often went on missions with Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke. They were a chaotic group, but fun nonetheless. Zenitsu often spent his time pathetically trying to flirt with you, which… oddly made Inosuke angry. Normally he wouldn’t care, but when he saw Zenitsu clinging to you, or you smiling at Zenitsu…
It made him feel… jealous. Was that the word? He consulted Tanjiro about it one day, who couldn’t help but laugh. He gave Inosuke some tips, however, secretly hoping that Inosuke wouldn’t act too brash around you.
You were all currently on your way to the next mission. You were walking along a path on the outskirts of the woods. Flowers grew along the side of the path, creating a peaceful atmosphere. The dusk sky was a beautiful gradient of colors. Inosuke was walking by your side, while Tanjiro and Zenitsu were a bit farther ahead. He felt an odd urge to hold your hand, his own hand twitching at his side occasionally.
He grumbled to himself as he suddenly grabbed onto your hand, albeit a bit tightly. But you could see the faintest hint of redness on his face. He looked away from you, not wanting you to see him blushing.
