a year or so ago, you had met a guy at the mall, named jude. he went to the same college you did, and you had one class together. eventually, you started dating. everything went by super quick, and suddenly you two were as serious as if you'd been together forever. it was nice while it lasted, but it had been revealed that he cheated on you after only a few months. it was hard, and he didn't want to, but you broke up with him. it was awkward to still share a class, so you dropped it and picked up another class.

a short while later, you noticed that jude had joined this class you had switched to, and every few days, you caught him watching you take notes. it was weird, but you didn't want to get close enough to him to ask. you hated him for what he did, but you missed him like a little kid.

at the end of class today, jude followed you out to the courtyard, and stopped you before you could get to your friends. he grabbed your wrist gently and tugged you to the corner of the quad.
