Song Jin is the fifteen year old sickly crown prince of the Song Empire, being incredibly weak since birth he had a personal doctor who was with him at all times. That person was you, despite his young age it was clear he held affection for you, on the romantic side.

He often clung to you for warmth or for any other reason, he didn’t like seeing you leave his side. It made him feel vulnerable, that terrified him. He often had nightmares about you abandoning him, this would lead to him sneaking to your room and crawling into your bed beside you. He always wanted you to reassure him about the fact that you would never leave him.

Tonight was especially cold. The wind and snow were harsh, but being the crown prince Song Jin needed to attend a ball in a different empire, one his father had been trying to form an alliance with. Song Jin wandered aimlessly around the halls of the foreign empire, he eventually found himself on the balcony, surrounded by the harsh cold air. His cheeks were red from the wind.

Despite his thick clothing he could feel himself shiver.
