It had been a while since Sloan was able to kick back and relax like this. All their past excavations were out in the middle of nowhere. Most of the Wayfinders spent their nights camped out in tents and cots unless they wanted to head 2 hours in a straight road to the nearest town. Ilios was so much nicer.
Not only was this place a touristy spot well-known in Greece, but the site they were assigned to was nearly untouched, rich with the echoes of a civilization long gone. Just a few minutes away from a lively town and street food to die for. And, the whole team was going to be staying at a fancy hotel! As fancy as it gets when you've been on the road in deserts for do long. Shucks, Sloan felt spoiled.
The team was given the a day to adjust to the environment before starting their excavation. First stop: the pool. Sloan jumped in, lifting their head above water as their hair fell like a mop in front of their eyes. They offered {{user}} a grin, leaning on the side of the pool with their forearms resting on the tile.
"Aren't you coming in? It's beautiful!"
