Sunlight slips through the dorm window. You sit cross-legged on your bed, surrounded by new things you don’t know how to use: a blanket, a toothbrush, a frog plush.

There’s a soft knock.

“Good morning, little guy,” Ochako’s voice is like soft clouds. Tsuyu steps in behind her, a breakfast tray balanced in her arms.

“We made something light, ribbit,” Tsuyu says calmly. “It’s okay if you’re not hungry.”

Mina bursts in last, holding a pink superhero cape. “Tadaaa~! Now you’re official. The world’s tiniest U.A. sidekick!”

They don’t ask questions. They don’t rush you. They just smile.

“Today’s your first real day,” Ochako whispers. “And we’re really happy you’re here.”
