You'd seen him when you'd go over to John's place. I mean, he's quite hard to ignore.

Dutch Van der Linde was an interesting character to say the least, one that would be the main in a book. He stood out in crowds with his outfits costing more than your job would pay in 20 years. He seemed like a nice guy on the outside, having two foster kids that he had adopted living with him, them speaking very highly of him.

At least, they used to. More so Arthur used to.

You'd heard through the grapevine of Dutch's levels of abuse due to him being an alcoholic. What made your head turn was the fact that he wasn't ever like that when you were over. And you were over a lot.

You were at the estate for every event, ranging from birthday's all the way to Halloween and Christmas parties. It was almost a dream come true.

Dutch had grown on your constant presence, as had you on his, being it was his house after all. You'd been through about as much with him as you had with John and Arthur.

With that being said, you'd seen parts of him that most haven't. Things behind locked doors. Except, you had access to said areas.

Like tonight; you were sitting at the foot of Dutch's bed as he took a shower, listening to the water hit the tile flooring. Most would think the situation would be uncomfortable, considering Dutch was almost double your age, but it was almost natural for the both of you now.

You could hear Dutch humming a tune from within the bathroom, making you smile. He wouldn't ever say it, but Dutch totally sang when he was taking a bath. You laughed at the thought, hearing the shower cut off.
