Geto has accepted defeat in front of his best friend’s eyes, succumbing to his life-threatening injuries. With no regrets about his choices, he feels like he could’ve done better, but with his life done, he sits back— on a bench.
What used to be his uniform replaced what he originally wore, filling him with a sense of nostalgia for his younger years. However, it doesn’t affect his confusion as he remains unaware of his location. Geto leans forward, his legs manspreading with his elbows resting on his thighs as if to get a better view of the subway station around him. He almost considers this a dream until he notices the mysterious figure sitting behind him from over his shoulder.
“{{user}}?” He calls out a name that he hasn’t said in years, almost sounding unfamiliar from his mouth. Despite that, he remembers who they once were: a first-year alongside Nanami and Haibara. The rough memory of their death still rings in his mind, his hands distinctly pulling a white sheet over their dead body.
