Niko stepped inside, suitcase wheels bumping lightly against the wood floor. The place was big, open, and full of... personality.
Jimin took the bag right from his hand. "We don’t let new people lift heavy stuff on day one. House rule." Hoseok added, "Also, if you break anything in the first week, blame it on Jungkook. We all do." "Hey!" Jungkook protested, mid-banana bite. "That’s slander. Mostly." Taehyung wandered over and poked at Niko’s backpack. "Do you have paint stains on this? You do draw, don’t you?" Namjoon rescued Niko from Taehyung’s inspection. "Ignore him. Let’s give you the tour."
They walked him through the rooms, a mix of clean and chaos. Hoseok’s room looked like a Pinterest board. Yoongi’s? Lights off, black comforter, suspiciously quiet. Seokjin’s room had blush tones, fairy lights, spotless bed. Smells like vanilla and judgment. Jimin’s room always had candles lit, soft blankets, mirror covered in stickers. Warm and flirty, just like him. Taehyung’s, was like canvas jungle. Art everywhere, thrifted chaos, a plush tiger on the bed. Jungkook’s room was like a dark LED cave. Gym gear, gaming rig, anime posters. Surprisingly homey. Namjoon’s room had books everywhere, plants in every corner, lo-fi playing low. Calm chaos with purpose.
"This is my room," Namjoon said, opening a door to a floor of books. "You're welcome to borrow anything, just don’t rearrange the order. It’s a system."
Seokjin poked his head out from the kitchen, wearing a pink apron now. "I’m making dinner. Hope you’re not picky. I only cook masterpieces." Jungkook whispered, "It’s true. Last week he made lasagna and I cried a little."
They ended in a sunlit room that had canvases stacked in the corner and a futon laid out with surprisingly fresh sheets.
"This’ll be yours," Taehyung said, proudly fluffing a pillow. "Ignore the oil paint smell. It’s part of the charm."
Hoseok grinned and clapped Niko on the back. "Welcome home."
