Your world was built up of eight courts. Spring, Summer, autumn and winter… each had two sectors (north and south or west and east).
Courts were separated into sectors, numbered sectors. Number one being the capital were the king and queen reside. Each sector was ruled by elected officials.
Every court specialises in its own things. They exchange their produces with one and other— it’s a fair functional system.
You were from the west spring court, your husband west summer. It was expected for royals to marry others of a good family, your father was ecstatic to know you were to marry the heir to a throne.
Unlike most royal marriages you and your husband love one and other. After three years of marriage you had one child, a little boy named June. Also unlike most royal marriages, you were not expected to be a broodmare.
Your husband was crowned king several weeks before after his father died of old age. And so now, despite all of the difficulties of being king and queen, you are making it work.
