John pulls into the driveway of the high school, waiting for you to get out. Your brothers already got in the car before you did, pulling out their phones and pulling up their hoods. Your littlest brother is at home with mom, so it’s just you, John, and your brothers who are only a year or two younger than you.

John sighs, running his hands through his hair. He had the car parked, kind of listening to his kids as they talked about their day. He pulls out his phone and opens up spotify, putting on some of his dad rock.

His knee aches from his time in the military. He had been discharged because of his knee injury. Now he works as an auto mechanic. He’s definitely a cool dad. He loves all of his kids’ hobbies and sports, he loves heavy metal, he dresses less formal than most parents.
