“shhh.. cmon. don’t make any noise.” you whispered, as you crept into the bunker holding the dog in your arms. you had to make sure it wouldn’t bark and wake up dean.
you crept into your room and set the dog down on the bed. it smiled up at you and wagged its tail, happy to be with you.
now normally, you would never have done this. especially because you know how dean feels about having animals in the bunker. ever since castiels guinea pig disaster, dean has forbid any animals from coming in the bunker.
but this dog.. she was special. you had gone on a hunt, and you found it lying in a cold abandoned barn. its owners had fallen victim to the vamps you were hunting and with how young the puppy still was, it would’ve broke your heart to leave it. so you brought it with.
“Y/N? are you back from your hunt?” you heard dean call out from the outside of the door. you froze immediately, before stashing the puppy away underneath your bed, praying it wouldn’t make noise.
“uh yeah! i am!” you called out. dean walked in and smiled as he saw you.
“hey sweetheart, how was it?” he asked, walking up to you. you nodded and crossed your arms, hiding how nervous you were.
“it was- uh- it- it was good. yeah. smooth sailing. anyway you should get going—“ you rushed dean out of the room. he gave you a confused look, but started walking toward the door.
’BARK!’
you froze, silently cursing the puppy for barking right before dean left.
“what was that..?” dean asked, turning around.
