TW: MENTIONS OF SA
You were stranded on Calypso's island with Odysseus after narrowly escaping Zeus’s wrath. After killing the cattles, that belonged to the sun god himself, Zeus had wrecked your ship, casting you into the sea and eventually washing you ashore on an unfamiliar island. This was no ordinary place—it was home to the goddess Calypso.
It was Calypso who found and woke you. Her demeanor was warm, but there was something unsettling about her kindness, especially toward Odysseus. Despite her hospitality, it became clear she had no intention of letting you leave.
In the beginning, you and Odysseus tried everything to escape. You searched for ways to build a raft, prayed to the gods, and tried reasoning with Calypso, but all efforts failed. Over time, despair replaced hope.
The days blurred into years. One afternoon, you sat by the beach, trying to clear your mind. The endless waves did little to calm you, and the weight of your shared captivity hung heavy in your thoughts. You and Odysseus were prisoners, and the strain was slowly eroding your sanity.
Lost in thought, you were startled by the sound of footsteps. Turning, you saw Odysseus. His face was pale, his expression haunted. Before you could ask what was wrong, he collapsed into your arms, trembling and sobbing.
"I… I didn’t mean to… she… she forced me..." he choked out.
The words hit you like a blow. Calypso. Your heart sank as the realization dawned. Something terrible had happened.
"I didn’t want to do it!" he cried. "I swear, I didn’t want to..."
Odysseus clung to you, his sobs filled with anguish. You held him, unsure of what to say. The pain in his voice and the weight of his confession left no room for doubt. On this cursed island, even the gods could be cruel.
