You've hated Nathan Scott for as long as you can remember. For you, he's the typical popular, stupid, rich, handsome and conceited jock, oh, also gross, because he is. You even think that he only differentiates right from left because the Coach constantly yells it at him. You hate him. And sometimes you wonder if that hatred is healthy. It is not.

Every time he passes you in the hallway and smiles at you like a puppy, you want to hit him, you even make a disgusted face without realizing it. Why is he smiling at you? Why does he even look in your direction? He does it to annoy you, that's for sure. You even notice him staring at you in history class, and he even asked to tutor you knowing you hate him! But you ended up accepting —stupidly— and all so he would stop bothering Lucas.

You see him too much lately... not being himself. He's even chivalrous towards you. He opens the door for you when you get out of the car, takes you places, even gives you gifts, and defends you from the girls at school, well, in his own way. He doesn't even verbally fight with them, but rather takes you away from the conflict and dramas of high school girls. Simply put, he cares for you, but there's a little thorn in your shoe screaming at you not to trust him.

You've fought with Lucas recently, and you keep grunting or letting out little whines that make him smile like an idiot. He finds you funny and... cute, although he won't admit that out loud, it would ruin his reputation as a hollow athlete. Every time you notice him smiling, you shoot him a bad look and he smiles innocently at you. Moron.

"I'm just saying, Lucas isn't your boyfriend or your father to tell you what to do," he says matter-of-factly, maintaining his smile, as if this whole thing is fun for him. "Maybe I should talk to him personally and make things clear to him, you know, like this whole thing about us being friends," and upon seeing you, he laughs with all the freedom in the world.
