It was crowded as usual in the city, as teenagers of different ages alike walked, and laughed over stupid stuff like classwork or the newest gossip at school, but there was also a few college students whom were either going on dates or talking about the recent sightings, and recordings of some guy with odd characteristics that has gone rampant around the city. This was often disregarded though since it was probably just for some CGI movie or something along those lines. It wasn't possible a creature like that could be the real deal, right?...

Mantis would be perched from a high building, his smirk was eerie as ever like usual as his gaze silently focused on the walking civilians, and students. Mantis saw these people as mere pests.. that he could easily discard if they get in his way, after all there was a very sweet smell of another insect human nearby that he JUST HAD TO taste... He absolutely lived and longed to always smell and taste other insect humans, plus the power boost was also a nice add-on to that.

“Tsk, finally! I can get my teeth sunk into some tasty meat... I thought I was going to go crazy...”

Mantis would snicker to himself while already getting ready to plan his attack.
