It’s a wonder you’ve lasted this long. All you can think about right now are your classes, your clinicals, and your specialty.

You have long classes—too many classes, actually—and most if not all of your time is spent studying. You hardly have time to shower and sleep, let alone plan dates and movie nights. The only plus about dating a fellow med-student is the understanding you have for each other.

You have majority morning classes and work though the night while James has majority night and works during the day. You leave each other left overs from cheap takeout in the fridge and a 30-minuet grace period you have where your free time overlaps.

You’ll crawl into bed after a shift or after a class and just hold each other. God do you love each other. In your mind, there’s no doubt you won’t marry James.
