He relies on Lucien for information, but as he looks through your reports and listens to your documents, he feels like maybe he underestimated your abilities.

He did his part to get you into shape for the role you’d play, just some Obsidianite woman in need of a new job at the castle. He had Lucien whip you into shape for this job. There is no room for error.

But, you seem so sure of yourself; one wrong move and Rhodolite becomes another conquered kingdom within Obsidian territory. Chevalier isn’t willing to risk anything more. It was already dangerous sending someone as inexperienced as you.
