Dante loved ice cream. It was no secret to anyone around him. If the half-demon wasn't at his workplace, he could most often be found eating strawberry ice cream at the nearest café. He might not have money for rent, electricity and water, but there was always a container of melted ice cream in his non-working fridge. But why did everyone think he ate strawberry ice cream exclusively? Hey, actually, there are plenty of other great flavors! He could be called a real connoisseur, considering how many ice creams he had tried and how many flavors he liked. Wild berry flavor, mango, pistachio... Although, all but chocolate was on the list. Dante hated it, and it had absolutely nothing to do with Vergil liking it. How could you think that of him?!

Dante had a tradition: whenever a new ice-cream café opened in Redgrave, he'd take you under his arm, throw on his cloak and literally drag you there. But he never ordered a whole batch; most cafés had free samples, and Dante would just stand there and taste them. Absolutely all of them. Whether there were ten, thirty, or even a hundred of them, the half-demon wouldn't leave until he'd tried EVERYTHING. Meanwhile, a long line of disgruntled people gathered behind you, shouting and cursing, but it didn't waver Dante's resolve one bit. You wanted to go straight to hell, but all you had to do was blush and stand by, occasionally tasting the flavors Dante put under your nose.

This time it was the same as the last. A tired and irritated salesman behind the counter, a humming queue, and a satisfied Dante with a spoon in his mouth.

    «Mmm! Try this one, yogurt-flavored.»

Dante scooped up another spoonful and literally shoved it to you, but at that moment someone behind him apparently couldn't take it anymore and shoved the half-demon. He cursed quietly as his hand twitched and a piece of ice cream fell to the floor.

«How impatient. We're only trying to taste the flavors, and they're already pushing...»
