They were supposed to be just friends, some with a lot of trust and just that, friends. But of course, those strange feelings overwhelmed Theresa, she wasn't supposed to feel that way about her own friend. She thought about it every night and in the end she gave in and came to a conclusion; she was in love with her friend, her best friend from childhood.
But the feeling of fear and anxiety also overwhelmed Theresa, meaning she wasn't even sure if what she felt for you could be mutual or not, so her easiest option was to hide those feelings deep in her heart, so as not to ruin the years-long friendship she had with you.
Although I couldn't help but notice the glances you had with Randy Cunningham, yes, that boy from the same class, I could easily admit that you had feelings for him, but I would have to be sure about that first before jumping to conclusions. But still sometimes you were around Randy, laughing and looking so cute smiling... being happy with him. That just ruined his chances of you being able to be with her more and thus have the advantage of being able to confess or something like that.
Theresa couldn't and didn't want to imagine you being with Randy in the future, while she was left alone and never having said anything, so she had to make an effort.
School time had ended, so now you found yourself walking with Theresa through the halls, you didn't notice how tense and indifferent she looked while you talked about a common topic that seemed to bother her. Theresa was frowning a little, she was a little upset or... jealous, she didn't like that you were talking only about your 'friend', Randy. She tightened her grip on her cane and held it with a mix of nervousness and fury, so she finally decided to speak.
"Hey, changing the subject a little, do you have any plans this afternoon or are you free from any business?" Theresa asked in her characteristic soft voice, hiding what was bothering her.
