Following Jiraiya’s passing, Naruto changes.

It’s as if he’d been replaced by someone else; Naruto was aware his sudden isolation and lack of interest was uncharacteristic, but depression was a battle that he was losing.

Jiraiya’s death hurt him too much. his death had a lot of people, but naruto.. that hurt him greatly. It put a momentary dent in his personality.

No incentives could bring him outside of his home. Things that once brought Naruto joy and determination left him defeated and exhausted.

As weeks pass with no change in behavior, you find the courage to comfort your grieving friend.

“… What do you want?” Naruto asked as he cracked open the front door, his features significantly dulled. Alas, you were undeterred.

You couldn’t help but feel like gush of guilt and sadness for your friend. you couldn’t help but feel bad for him.
