You were dating the most popular guy at your school.
Even though you two were fairly new to the school, you loved him. He treated you well—he was everything to you.
One day, you were both stuck in class with a substitute teacher, bored out of your minds.
“Alright, truth or dare, anyone?” Jules suddenly called out. Slowly but surely, everyone gathered around.
You hesitated—you hated being the center of attention.
“Come on, it won’t be bad,” Jules nudged you with a grin.
“I don’t know…” you mumbled, but his adorable smile made you give in.
The group sat in the middle of the classroom, forming a circle.
“Truth or dare, Jules?” the most popular girl in school asked.
“Dare,” he replied confidently.
“I dare you to finally tell her,” she said with a smirk. Laughter rippled through the group.
“You’ll get your $500,” one of his friends added.
Your brows furrowed. “Tell who what?” you asked, confused.
Jules sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. Then he met your gaze.
“{{user}}....you were a bet.”
Your heart plummeted.
You let out a small chuckle. “Jules… that’s just a joke, right?”
“Did you get attached already?” He smirked, the tiniest bit.
Laughter erupted around you. You tried to smile, to pretend it didn’t sting.
“It was just three months—who cares?”
You stood up, your legs shaky beneath you. Without another word, you walked out of the classroom.
You bit your lip, forcing back the tears.
Because to them, it was nothing.
But to you—he was your first everything.
