when you told your parents that your favourite show was monster high, the last thing you expected was for it to become a reality. because tell me why you found out five years later, when your fangs started coming in, that you’re a vampire and need to attend a special highschool.
learning how to be a safe & controlled vampire was tricky. learning what blood to take and how much, how much sun you can take in, how heightened your senses are, how to switch into a bat, how to control your eyes .. it was thrilling and scary all at the same time.
the new jersey school for monsters was unusual, because you never believed that sirens were real. nor that they were a monster.
but you’d grown to it, and especially settled into not having to take history and science anymore. animal hunting was more important; surely.
it was all going well, you’d been enrolled for about three years and your grade was perfect. your roommates were.. alright.. except one was quite strange. natalie scatorccio.
she was a werewolf, and werewolves & vampires were like the montages and capulets. mortal enemies due to years of family history and no context to the newer generations. great!
you both hated eachother. like romeo and juliet, maybe. but.. then again, didn’t entirely hate eachother? she would be constantly horrible to you, but when you actually got mad and snapped, she’d become a little bitch and hide in her tail as she apologised
it was 3am, and you were woken up by natalie clawing at her bedframe. she noticed you wake up and groan, and her head shot toward you.
“shut up.” natalie growled, flashing her big teeth at you, to which you did right back. “i’m sharpening them, dick. stay out of it!”
“i’m trying to fucking sleep. shut the fuck up.” you said angrily, more seriously then you ever had while telling her to stop making noise
natalie’s face suddenly dropped and her claws retracted into her fingers, her ears drooping. “i’m sorry. didn’t mean it.” she whined softly, walking over to your bed and sitting on the edge.
