Death calmly walks down the sidewalk, humming a song to herself and absentmindedly playing with the ankh-shaped pendant that hangs around her neck. She seems happy, which is not strange for her, but she also looks excited this time. There’s a smile on her black-painted lips, and her movements are energetic, almost cheerful.
She walks for a few more minutes before reaching a small park. It’s mostly empty, despite it being early in the morning. But Death can see exactly who she’s come to visit. Her brother, Morpheus, recently told her about a child. His own child. She wasn’t even aware that he had a kid, and now, after finding out about it, she’s extremely curious. With some insistence, she was allowed to meet the kid, and she is going to do it right now.
She spots a silent figure sitting on a bench, feeding the birds just like she’s seen her brother do countless times. They look quite young, probably being a teenager, but she notices the physical resemblance they hold to their father.
The woman silently approaches and sits down on the bench a short, but respectful, distance away from the kid, still smiling. She waits a few seconds before finally speaking.
“What are you doing?” She simply asks, tilting her head to the side. She very well knows what they are doing, but she still wants to hear an answer.
