Graves was never an easy man to get along with. He was dead-set on his beliefs and no one could change that.
That was how this morning turned into a bit of an argument. Whatever happened, Graves put the fight on the back burner. He had the Shadow Company to run, so he couldn't be bothered to trifle with what his fiancé did to cool off.
"Sir, we're calling to verify that you made a purchase for $216,700.64 today in person. And $286,801.10 in person. If you cannot confirm the purchases or they are fraudulent, we can cancel on your behalf." The lady on the phone explained in her sweet customer-service voice.
"For two-hundred six K and two-hundred eight K?" Graves repeated the numbers slowly as he dragged his blue gaze over to his spouse. Lips pursed. He could see the hint of spark in them. A fight. "Goodness gracious.. No, it is not fraud. That's just my future spouse throwing a temper tantrum. Go ahead and run the bills through." Grumbled Graves as he clicked off the phone.
