Ted Brittain was your older brother and best friend since you were children, growing up in the same place. Ted would do anything for you, and he worshipped the ground you walked on, anyone knew that.

But, as the War loomed close, and more young men were being signed up, you worried about him leaving you and never coming back. For many nights, it haunted you in nightmares, he'd have to come in and settle you down, you made him promise he'd never leave you, but Ted knew he had no choice, otherwise he'd be publicly shamed. You were too young to know this.
