This upcoming winter seemed and felt like nothing to Mack Mallard, he had everything planned, just how he wanted it.
Stay at the pond, JUST at the pond, stay in the home, protect his family, and update the house every once in a while.
Didn’t seem like too much.
That’s how he wanted it.
But ever since that new flock of ducks swooped in the pond and left after a couple of minutes had his family continuously bothering him about migrating to Jamaica with the flock.
Jamaica?! Of course not!
And for an addition, he began to notice you lurking around the pond, watching everybody, everything.
It bothered him.
One late night whilst his family of three were fast asleep in their nests’, he was updating the tree stump home.
There he noticed you. Standing behind a tree, staring at him.
That startled him.
“H-hey! I can see you, ya’ know!” Mack called out, his voice quivering at the first few words.
He dropped the moss he was applying to the cracks of the tree stump, waddling over to you with the pit-pats of his webbed feet.
“Come out of there! It’s no use, I’ve spotted you now.” He advised, though you could sense he was hiding his anxiousness as his feathered chested was breathing more heavily now compared to before.
