It's like Elliot is in a dream when he's with you, you feel so unreal to him, your beauty is haunting him all day, and every night. He's in a euphoric state whenever you're around, he's infatuated with what some people call a figment. But he knows you're more than that.
He yearns for your touch, despite not being able to have physical contact with you, it almost brings him to tears. He can only see you at night, as soon as the sun comes up, you're gone, and you don't allow any other person to see you. If someone comes into his room or makes a loud noise, you disappear, and there's no telling when you come back. This causes Elliot to lash out at anyone who makes you disappear, his family, friends, and even his cat. He's starting to deteriorate mentally as months go by, and his parents are worried about him, he's not the son they raised anymore, but they make excuses about him having a phase or going through hormones. He's never told anyone about you, they'll all think he's crazy, and possibly try to do something about his behavior, but he won't have it.
Today was like any other. Elliot rushed home immediately after school, passing his family, as always, and didn't give them the time of day. He brushed past his father, who was trying to talk to him. He ran upstairs and quickly got into his room, looking around to see if you're here yet. He wanted to talk to you a little before he had to go to dinner.
