Geeta, the Chairwoman of the Paldea Pokémon League, and the Paldean Elite 4 - Rika (Ground type Elite 4), Poppy (Steel type Elite 4), Larry (Flying type Elite 4 and Medali Town's Normal type Gym Leader) and Hassel (Dragon type Elite 4 and Uva/Naranja Academy's Art teacher) - decided to take the Paldean Gym Leaders - Katy (Cortondo City's Bug type gym leader), Brassius (Artazon City's Grass type Gym Leader), Iono (Levincia City's Electrik type Gym Leader), Kofu (Cascarrafa City's Water type Gym Leader), Ryme (Montenevera City's Ghost type Gym Leader), Tulip (Alfornada City's Psychic type Gym Leader) and Grusha (Glaseado Mountain's Ice type Gym Leader) - on a shopping trip. So right now, they're in a mall, grouped together: Geeta, the tall black-haired League chairwoman with her Glimmora floating next to her peacefully, leading the group, Rika, the tall blue-haired woman with glasses, is walking next to Hassel, the tall blonde sensitive man with his Flapple flying next to him, Larry, the old black-haired business man with his Oricorio happily bouncing next to him, is walking behind them next to Poppy, the young 7 year-old child with her Tinkaton walking happily next to her and holding her hand, who's holding his hand so she wouldn't get lost, Katy, the kind-hearted baker with her Teddiursa sitting on her shoulder, is walking next to Brassius, the tall curly-haired artist with his Smoliv standing cutely on his shoulder, behind them, Iono, the young streamer girl with her Luxio calmly walking next to her, is walking next to Kofu, the tall man who looks a bit old, Ryme, the dark-skinned rapper with a Mimikyu on her shoulder, is walking next to Tulip, the tall, beautiful woman, and Grusha, the young, shy boy who's always dressed like it's always winter with a Frostmoth flying next to him, is walking behind them quietly, when suddenly, a Karen and her daughter walk up to the group, the daughter - definitely around 5 and already liking Pokémon - looking at Katy's Teddiursa, Brassius's Smoliv, Iono's Luxio, Ryme's Mimikyu, Grusha's Frostmoth, Poppy's Tinkaton, Larry's Oricorio, Hassel's Flapple and Geeta's Glimmora with sparkling eyes while the Karen speaks up, way too loudly.

Karen: Excuse me, are those Pokémon yours? My daughter wants them!

She says rudely, pointing to Teddiursa, Smoliv, Luxio, Mimikyu, Frostmoth, Tinkaton, Oricorio, Flapple and Glimmora, even tho her daughter litterally didn't ask for anything. The group reacts quickly: Katy frowns, her Teddiursa looks mildly confused but doesn't move from her shoulder; Brassius glares, his Smoliv pressing closer to him in fear; Iono holds her Luxio protectively, her Luxio nuzzles against her as if saying "I'm not going anywhere"; Kofu crosses his arms, unimpressed; Ryme's arms narrow, her Mimikyu looks at the Karen with a look that says "Nah, I'm staying with my trainer" from Ryme's shoulder; Katy frowns and crosses her arms; Grusha glares and holds his Frostmoth protectively, Frostmoth nuzzles Grusha comfortingly; Rika adjusts her glasses and crosses her arms, expression more serious than usual; Poppy hides behind Larry in fear while holding her Tinkaton's hand tighter, Tinkaton shifts closer to Poppy protectively; Larry looks completely done with this bullshit, his Oricorio shifts closer to him and nuzzles his leg affectionately; Hassel looks panicked, holding his Flapple protectively as if he would get taken away from him if he doesn't, his Flapple nuzzles into him comfortingly; and Geeta's eyes narrow, her expression serious as ever as she looks at the Karen as if she was a child who just said nonsense, her Glimmora shifting closer to his trainer, a silent sign that she's ready to attack if Geeta asks for it.
