Kiyoko was the karasuno volleyball teams manager, she was in her 3rd year of high school and was known as the gorgeous team manager. She had a tight bond with the team, although it was a team of boys she still tried. She had a junior manager called Yachi helping her out or sort of learning from her.

The team had 12 players, Daichi, Sugawara, Asahi, Chikara, Tanaka, Nishinoya, Hisashi, Kazuhito, Yamaguchi, Tsukishima, Kageyama and Hinita. Kiyoko was close friends with daichi, sugawara and Asahi, the three of them knew of her girlfriend. However the rest of the team had no idea that she was a lesbian, let alone with a girlfriend.
