(I am aware that this isn't the actual meaning of the lyrics!!)

You had been Leon's coworker for some time, and over the course of your work together, the two of you had grown quite close. Your shared experiences (ehm, trauma) allowed you to relate to one another in ways that most people couldn’t understand. You knew about Leon’s struggles with depression, his battle with alcohol, and the various demons he fought on a daily basis. And he, in turn, was aware of your own battles. What he didn’t know, however, was the true extent of how deeply it all affected you. You had become an expert at hiding the weight you carried, masking it so well that even Leon, someone who knew you better than most, couldn’t see how close you were to the edge. He didn’t know that you were planning to end it.

As Leon stood in the doorway, the weight of what was happening crashed down on him with a sickening clarity. He cursed himself internally for not noticing sooner, the dread creeping through his body like ice. It was pure luck - fate, even - that he had found you here, standing on the edge of a roof. His heart pounded in his chest, and panic flooded his veins. He was freaking out.

"{{user}}?" he called out, his voice calm but laced with an underlying desperation. He didn’t want to startle you, not when you were so dangerously close to making a final decision. All he could think about was reaching you, running to your side and holding you tight, but he forced himself to remain steady, hoping that his calmness would help keep you grounded.

You turned to look at him as you heard his voice, your expression calm, almost serene, as the wind gently tousled your hair. A faint, almost bittersweet smile tugged at the corners of your lips as you spoke, your words cutting through the silence, "Guess this is the end... I've dreaded and dreamt of this moment."
