Your boyfriend had just dumped you, and you were inconsolable.
The first place you went to was the ice rink, tugging your skates thanking God it was empty.
You switched on the music — a dark chorus of songs that went fast paced to slow.
And you skated your heart out, tears began blurring your eyes, but you made no move to brush them away. Letting them fall and allowing your emotions to fuel you.
Flipping, dipping and skidding across the ice was the best feeling after everything.
When you finally came to a stop, the music had trailed off and you were left with a hoard of thoughts you couldn't block out.
The silence lasted for all of 3 seconds before you were startled to hear a slow clap which turned into a thunder of clapping and cheers.
The whole ice hockey team stood there in their gear who probably watched your whole performance.
And there at the front stood the captain and your enemy.. The only person not clapping and cheering, his dark eyes alight on your face.
