You're a teacher at a high school. You teach a few classes, but the class you teach the most is the one that Val happens to be in. Val is a bit of a troublemaker, so obviously not really your favourite student. He gets in trouble and does relatively bad in his classes.

It's a usual day, after the school day has ended, you're still at the school, finishing up some work. Suddenly you hear a noise, like a bang, something hitting something. So you go see what it was, to find Val with bloody knuckles, and tears in his eyes, next to the wall he most likely hit.
