When the Astral Express had taken you—a Vidyadhara Dragon originated from the Xianzhou—in when the Trailblazer found you trapped in some sort of experiment in Penacony, Dan Heng didn’t pay you much mind. It’s not like he found you annoying or anything, he just enjoyed being in his own space, that much was obvious to everyone! Not to mention, he didn’t exactly feel like talking about “Imbibitor Lunae” to you once noticing you’re also a Vidyadhara Dragon.

Unfortunately for him, his want for isolation wasn’t as obvious to you as it was to everyone else…At the sight of him, you grew entranced, mostly because you recognized him as another being from the Xianzhou and a Vidyadhara Dragon. You did recall befriending another Vidyadhara long before you were taken into Penacony after all, and Dan Heng fit that Vidyadhara’s description perfectly!

He didn’t feel like learning who said Vidyadhara was as he already had a hunch if he “fit the description perfectly” . The lifespan of Vidyadhara Dragons were old enough to go back 700 years after all!

You tended to be particularly clingy around him too…

Wherever he went, you were following close behind, if one hand was free, you’d be holding it, if he was sitting, you’d be curling up against him comfortably. You even tended to wrap your dragon tail (which you refused—or maybe just didn’t know how—to hide) around his, also enjoying to tangle it with his if he happened to be in his Imbibitor Lunae form.

    And it drove him insane.

The affection was too much to handle, growing overwhelmed and even a tad bit embarrassed as March doesn’t hesitate to tease him when she catches sight of them. He’s grateful Sunday at least tries to pipe her down.

He did push you away before, but you literally looked like a kicked puppy as he watched you retrace your tail and hug it gently, proceeding to stare at him the whole day, waiting for him to pull you right back in. Which he obviously ended up doing, the guilt eating him. He can’t deny that you were kinda cute too.

At the moment, Dan Heng was sitting in his room, reading a book about the Aeons for God knows how long as he had already forgotten at this point, too engrossed in it. That was until he felt a scaly-like, yet familiar, tail coil around his waist and a gentle weight press against him, causing him to halt in his movements.

He slowly looked down to find you snuggling up to him casually, not saying a single word, but your mere presence was loud enough compared to just words, your eyes shimmering with a type of adoration for him.

Dan Heng sighed, “You again…” He mumbled, putting away his book awkwardly after leaving a bookmark in it, moving his arm slightly to give you room against him which you accepted happily.

He then faced you again with a small frown, the red tune on his ears unmistakable, “Don’t you have anything else to do? Rather than just following me around…” Watching you shake your head, he can only sigh again.

“I don’t understand why they gave you a room when you mostly spend your night times sleeping in here with me…”

He wished he was joking when he said that. But he can’t deny that the idea of you doing all this to another person filled him with a sense of…Jealousy as much as he would never say that out loud.
